SMILICS and Nnergix join forces betting on the energy transition

Recently, Smilics Technologies and Nnergix have sealed a strategic alliance to strengthen their position in the electricity sector and expand their activity. Smilics Technologies is specialist in the development of components and hardware, focused on energy management. On the other hand, Nnergix is a company that develops and commercialises a software and data analytics platform for the renewable energy sector. It currently has digital management of over 5,000 renewable assets, in over 20 countries, located in Europe, America and Asia. Both teams complement their capabilities with the main goal of consolidating their value proposal on the market.

Nnergix, founded and led by Ramon Moler and Joan Miquel Anglès, develops the software Sentinel Solar, which allows the management of solar self-consumption facilities by making it easier for marketers, installers, maintainers, or local energy communities, to reduce costs by automating the management of their operations with tools such as monitoring, asset management, analytics or value features for the owner of the self-consumption.

Departure of InnoEnergy and Victoria Venture Capital
The operation, signed last December, concludes with the participation in the company’s shareholding of the investors InnoEnergy and Victoria Venture Capital. Both partners have contributed to the growth of Nnergix since 2014 and 2016 respectively.

Progressive integration of Nnergix
In a first phase, Nnegrix will be integrated into the business group of Smilics Technologies as a separate entity, keeping its brand, management team and strategy. In the coming month and years, both companies have a common vision for the development of new solution and complementary products aimed to energy transition, efficiency, and self-consumption, all at residential, commercial, and industrial level.

Future Plan
Due to the energy transition plans driven by the European Union and the government, the perspective of exponential growth in solar self-consumption facilities is considered. Smilics Technologies and Nnergix, together with another company of the group such as Km0 Energy, bet on heavy R&D investment for the development of both software and hardware solutions that will revolutionise our country’s energy transition. The main areas of transformation are scalability in the management of large portfolios of self-consumption, optimisation of residential and industrial consumer resources, effectiveness of flexibility capacity, as well as the participation in the management of local energy communities.
