IQS Tech Fest strengthens its position as the leading event in industrial entrepreneurship
This year we ended the event full of satisfaction and appreciation. The figures speak for themselves: more than 1,000 attendees, 1 guest country, more than 450 corporations and investors, an investment forum, 19 international speakers and 30 industrial start-ups.
IQS Tech Fest featured conferences and round table discussions with the leading international experts in innovation and industrial entrepreneurship, networking spaces and the Investment Forum, an exclusive space for investors and corporations to see first hand the innovations from the most disruptive start-ups that will change the future of industry.
FIRST PERSONALISED TOUR FOR IQS ALUMNI IN THE EVENT
As a novel aspect this year, we offered a personalised tour through the event and the start-ups, uniquely and exclusively for Alumni. The tour included a presentation of the IQS Tech Factory. The director, Oriol Pascual, gave a brief summary of the services it offers. Alumni participation in the event provides for great networking opportunities and chances to forge new contacts and start up new collaborations.
STEERING MACHINES, THE MOST PROMISING START-UP AT THE 2019 IQS TECH FEST
Steering Machines, the start-up that created the first robotics platform with multidirectional wheels, was selected among the ten participating companies from IQS Next Tech, the programme coordinated by IQS Tech Factory, as 2019’s Most Promising Industrial Start-Up.
As the winner of the 2019 IQS Next Tech edition, the Steering Machines team will travel to Shenzhen (China) to participate in an acceleration programme led by Brinc Accelerator.
This start-up stood out due to having developed a new mobile platform system. The company’s technology allows the robot to move in any direction at any time. This feature allows the robot to reduce the number of movements and gives it excellent flexibility in moving through small spaces and moving around obstacles.
A LEADING EVENT IN THE SECTOR
IQS Tech Fest has become the leading international event and has once again this year brought together the technologies from the most advanced industrial start-ups in the ecosystem along with the leaders in industrial innovation who set the trends of the future.
The industrial start-ups will lead the next great transformation at the global scale to positively affect the economy. This is the main conclusion we can draw from IQS Tech Fest 2020.
