3D printers for home, production and research use
The first part of the talk will explain the differences between 3D printer technologies, materials and prices. Then, the process of generating a part will be discussed, including the possibility of using a 3D scanner. A case study will be carried out to study the break-even point, or production necessary to obtain a profit compared to traditional production. Finally, there will be a visit to the IQS facilities to see 3D printers and scanners in operation.
