Chemical recycling processes allow the conversion of plastic waste by transforming its chemical structure, offering a solution for waste that is mixed and/or composed of several materials, i.e. for waste that cannot be recycled mechanically. It should also be noted that the quality of the material obtained after chemical recycling is comparable to that of virgin materials.

However, it is the European Union’s sustainability objectives and its commitment to a Circular Economy model that is currently giving a boost to chemical recycling, a technology that will increase recycling rates in the EU and at the same time contribute to reducing carbon emissions by avoiding the incineration of plastic waste.

We invite you to participate in the conference “Chemical recycling: status of an emerging business” where the opportunities and challenges of this growing recycling typology will be discussed.
