Our vaccine
IQS, synonymous with advancement of science and progress of society, a sample of this is our vaccine, CoviNanoVax.
The project, led by Dr. Salvador Borrós and Dr. Cristina Fornaguera of the Bioengineering department of IQS, shows the development of a mRNA vaccine based on a new nanosystem for the vaccination of the healthy population in general.
The use of polymeric nanoparticles as vectors of the vaccine is a promising technology for the specific vectorization of active compounds in the target cells, so that, with a single dose of active principle, therapeutic effects can be increased, while reducing side effects, thanks to the modulation of the natural biodistribution of the active compound.
