The New AIQS Alumni is Introduced at the 2023 Ordinary General Assembly
The 2023 Ordinary General Assembly was marked by collaboration with IQS and the call for early elections.
Celebrated on 24 November, the event began with a mass joined by about twenty attendees in the Francesc Castelló Chapel at IQS to pay homage to alumni who passed away during the year.
Jordi Martí Gascón, president of AIQS Alumni, shared all the work that has been done during the past year, ongoing projects, and new objectives. He was accompanied by Dr Salvador Borrós, Director of IQS, Roger Prat, Secretary of the Board, and David Guedea, Treasurer of the association.
The 2023 Ordinary General Assembly had the following agenda:
- Welcome from the President
- Financial situation report
- Report by the Board: current economic situation and action plan
- IQS leadership involvement
- Approval of the 2023 annual accounts
- Approval of the 2023 annual report
- Report on projects for 2024
- Approval of projects for 2024
- Approval of the budget for 2024
- Call for Board of Directors elections
- Any other business and questions
- Appointment of two auditors for the approval of the minutes of the meeting
The representatives from the Board highlighted the close and consolidated collaboration with IQS, the 54 activities carried out during the year (10 more than in 2022), and the success of the Alumni Gatherings that made it possible for 900 alumni from more than 30 graduating classes to reunite with IQS. The economic results and the forecast for upcoming years were also discussed.
The 2023 annual accounts, 2023 activity report, 2024 projects, and 2024 budget were all approved by the members participating in the meeting.
The event concluded with other business and questions in which members (Premium Alumni) were able to state their suggestions and opinions along with the call for early elections for the President and the Board of Directors, which will be held on 15 February 2024. Before concluding, two auditors were appointed to approve the minutes.
